Cy-Fair Speech, LLC was incorporated in 2022 in the Cypress-Fairbanks areas and is proud to serve the neighborhoods and communities of Bridgeland, Towne Lake, Cypress Creek Lakes, Marvida, Bridge Creek, Durham Pointe, Miramesa and the surrounding communities.
Cy-Fair Speech, LLC specializes in speech-language, Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) Devices, and pediatric feeding and swallowing.
Joellyn Thompson, MS, CCC-SLP, Owner and Founder of Cy-Fair Speech, LLC
Joellyn Thompson has 15 years working as a pediatric speech-language pathologist, providing services in a variety of settings, including daycares, schools, outpatient clinics, and clients' homes. She has specialty training in the areas of apraxia of speech, articulation disorders, phonological disorders, expressive/receptive language disorders, pragmatic language disorders, emotional regulation disorders, stuttering/fluency disorders, communication device implementation, and pediatric dysphagia (feeding/swallowing disorders).
Mission Statement
The mission of Cy-Fair Speech, LLC is to:
- Provide speech and language enrichment sessions to school-age children qualifying for school-based speech therapy services
- Provide feeding evaluations and sessions to children who present with oral-pharyngeal dysphagia and picky eating
- Provide speech/language, AAC, and feeding training to parents to enhance carryover of skills
Goals and Objectives
To actively serve the Cypress-Fairbanks area with expertise, compassion and generosity, by providing superior quality speech therapy services necessary to bridge the gap between the communicator and the receiver. Cy-Fair Speech, LLC strives to help children with all varieties of communicative disorders achieve their maximum potential and communicate effectively with friends, family, and loved ones.
